Tie The Knot In March

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

Never mind if you can’t have a June wedding and can’t be a June bride. These days, what’s important in planning for a wedding are your budget and the savings you can make. C’mon, it pays to be practical today.

One way to save money on your wedding is to choose an off month like March instead of June. You must also know that couples are charged a premium when they marry on a Saturday or in June. It’s more affordable then to tie the knot in March or April. Morning weddings are also cheaper.

Find the right location. A study by the Modern Bride has revealed that a wedding reception in San Diego worth $4,000 would be the same as one costing $9,000 in Chicago and $15,000 in New York City. Meanwhile, if you live in a city, you can choose non-traditional venues which are less costly.

Get your friends to work. Request your talented friends to do their part during your wedding like hosting the reception, performing music at the service, taking photographs and videos.

Budgeting is the key to financial freedom
