Stay Within Your Limit

Credit cards are useful to us and they can even become our best friends if we only know how to manage them. Some people only prefer to keep one while the others prefer to have two or more. It all depends on our financial needs but what matters is how we handle them.

Be careful not to abuse credit cards though because they can give you so much trouble and stress, to boot. How can you be happy if you have a $5,000 balance on a credit card that charges an 18 percent interest? One of the best ways to use it is to stay within your credit limit. This means making smart purchases and the right choices. It won’t hurt if you set aside buying the latest fashions in town or reducing your trips to the movie houses from three to two times a month.

The bottomline here is our attitude towards credit cards. Sometimes, we become impulsive in buying unnecessary things believing that we won’t have to pay for them right there and then. But have you considered how much interest is accumulated to your account every month? The interest alone should be enough reason to make us conscious of our spending habits and to stay within the limit.

To keep you in good credit standing, make it a point to pay your credit card bills on time and on a monthly basis. If you do this, you can surely save a lot of money and headaches. And if you have extra funds, why not pay more than the monthly minimum on your balance. Paying more will lessen your interest charges plus you will be able to save for yourself.

Follow these tips and lead a happier, financially-stable life.
