What Does it Take to Get a Quote?

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

It’s true that the internet has revolutionized almost every aspect of our consumer life bringing information literally to our fingertips and gaining us access to easily compare and browse competing services. Much has been written about the ease and anonymity of the web making shopping a pleasurable experience.

However, anyone who’s shopped for a financial service such as an insurance quote knows that the process isn’t so simple. Most companies require customers to fill out online forms containing personal information in order to receive a quote. This obviously makes the process a whole lot less anonymous and takes away much of the simplicity.

A nice exception is the instant life insurance quote service offered at LifeInsure.com. Their simple online form doesn’t contain any personal identifiable information and filling out the online form takes seconds. Only after receiving the quote, the customer has the option to fill in his information in order to pursue the offer.
