The continuing deterioration in the U.S. dollar has more and more investors realizing the advantages in holding a diversified portfolio including oversees investments to lessen their investment portfolio’s dependence on the fluctuations of the U.S. dollar (or any single currency). This new interest in overseas investments has been uncovering some very promising opportunities in countries like Romania, Brazil, Bulgaria and Spain. But these new opportunities bring with them new challenges formally unfamiliar to investors limiting themselves to local ventures.
