Google Folds Against eBay

Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

The big fight between search engine giant Google and the online auction conglomerate eBay has finally come to and end with Google folding and throwing in the towel. The story started with Google posting a strong protest against eBay after the later banned the Google Checkout payment system from use on winning bids on eBay. Google blamed eBay for unfair play in an attempt to maintain the monopoly of eBay owned payment system Paypal.
However eBay showed Google they are not a company to mess with. In an apparently “innocent” move eBay dropped all their advertising campaigns from Google claiming to run an budget test but Google took the hint and dropped their charges against eBay. While eBay clearly won this battle, I don’t think we’ve heard the last of Google on the subject just yet.

Budgeting is the key to financial freedom
