Good or Bad, it’s all there

July 19th, 2007

It’s worth it to spend the time to read movie reviews. If you are going to drive to a movie and pay $10 per ticket, it’s also a good idea to read movie discussions as well. I found a site, www.criticsrant.com, and it has good movie and tv show reviews on it.

There are so many tv shows now that half the time sitting in front of the tv is flipping through the channels. It’s not only the time, but also the eye strain. It is much better to check out the reviews and then make up your mind on what you want to watch. The site www.criticsrant.com gives you a low-down and the pictures of all the latest tv shows. And if someone doesn’t like a show? Well, it’s there as well.

Personalize Your System

July 17th, 2007

I recently purchased a new laptop and it arrived with Windows Vista Home Basic installed. I must admit I like the new operating system and it is a step up from Windows XP even though I don’t have the Professional version with Aero support. But no matter how sophisticated Microsoft makes their operating systems, they never seem to invest much in the screensavers that come with Windows. It’s always the same boring squiggly lines or marquee text. But if you really want to spruce up your computer you have to download a third party screensaver. The good thing is that once you go with third party screensavers you have literally thousands of cool options to choose from. One of the best sites offering free screensavers is available at http://screensavers.msnemotions.org. They have some really neat options to really personalize your computer with anything from breathtaking nature screensavers to a screensaver based on your favorite T.V. show. Why go with Microsoft’s limited selection if you could easily personalize your system the way you like it - all for free?

ABC Agreement

July 14th, 2007

There is some confusion as to what an ABC agreement is. This is a term that refers to an agreement that is consummated between a purchasing member who has a seat on the NYSE and the company in which this person works. Based on the agreement of the NYSE, this Agreement would contain stipulations in which the employee could do the following:
- Transfer his seat to another person working in the company
- Retain his seat but also give him the authority to purchase a new seat for another person who will be chosen by the company
- Sell his seat and transfer any gains or proceeds to the company.

Trade Show Solutions

July 12th, 2007

It’s summer time and that usually indicates a peak in the trade show industry. After all, most trade shows try to add a hint of pleasure with business (or is it the other way around) and make sure to host their trade shows at attractive seasonal locations. For businesses planning on exhibiting this means a very busy season ahead and a lot of preparing to do. As any exhibitor quickly finds out, setting up a trade show exhibit is not only a time consuming task but can also be quite an expensive one.

While most trade shows assist in the process and provide exhibit set up services, using their service can usually prove quite an expensive option. With proper planning and doing some market research you can purchase pretty affordable trade show exhibit solutions saving you a nice sum on your bottom line. Buying your own trade show exhibits usually means that you will have to set it up yourself when you arrive at the trade show but you will also be saving a lot of money since most places charge nice sums for setting up the display. Also, if you are planning on attending more than one (and often several) trade shows, it is wiser to get yourself your own display which you feel comfortable with and take it around.
