Be an Off-Peak Shopper

Monday, August 20th, 2007

Off-peak buying or spending has always been touted by financial planners as a good way to beat the inflation and get more for your money, but few people do realize its benefits. Off-season purchasing not only promises better bargains for the consumers, but it is also the companies’ way of getting rid of inventory and paying extra overhead for keeping unnecessary merchandise.

So think way ahead of time for your purchases – instead of taking your regular summer vacation during June, think September when prices would have significantly dropped and fewer people would be going on their holidays. Buy your air conditioning in winter; shop for insulation and heating during spring.
